This speculative fiction based installation presented a possible future natural history museum through a transhumanist lens. The narrative suggests the possibilities of bioengineering as it interfaces with plastic pollution and species survival. Based over five hundred years in the future, the Museum presents the possibilities of life in the Anthropocene through gestational artifacts, informational text, and fossilized organisms that considers bioethics, the status of the museum in historical truth, and the long term effects of human impact on the geologic earth. Visitors are immersed in a familiar institutional space that informs their behavioral response as well as how they relate to the objects presented in the space, thus further blurring the lines between the installation as historically informative and installation art.
