Organized into three chronological themes, Synchrony, Continuance, and Sequentiality, (((elapse)) ) considers an embodied experience of time through video, sculpture, and text-based works.
Working bi-coastally, (Ocean in WA and Lauren in NY) the collaborative pair considers weather patterns, bodily ephemera and disability to uncover varying perceptions of entropy and the fleshly/enfleshed passage of time. Through time-based media, poetry, sculpture, and text, they explore that which extemporaneously reveals itself as the human lifespan faces the juggernaut of geologic time. Their interest in embodiment in the face of entropy, and in the connections between the decaying body and the environment, lead to multimedia celebrations of time consuming itself.
